If there was another supplier for the George Elliott uniform I would be glad. This shop employs the most ignorant...rude and obnoxious girls went in today to purchase some items. where I was made to feel very uncomfortable with girls who looked like they had only just left school themselves I was so uncomfortable I came out of the shop without my purchases. Please change your staff they are the pits........

Terrible service this year from The Schoolwear Centre, I ordered a cardigan which was given to me in age 7/8 size and not what I ordered 5/6 but because I didn't have the receipt when I realised they wouldn't exchange it and tried to tell me it could of been used even though it was ordered end of July when schools were finished?? Also when I ordered cardigan was charged £12.49 and when they refused to change the item I had to re buy it and then was charged £10.20. Will not be using this store again!

I have been buying my children school uniform for 4 years now and seen some shockers - One uniform shop actually closed on Saturdays in the summer, Madness and infuriating!
During the past 4 years though this shop has gone from zero to hero. A couple of years ago their ownership changed and they changed their shop management team. Now they have in-store embroidery, helpful staff and turned around orders at Easter in under a week. Very Happy...

I was in the school wear centre today and they were nothing but helpfull! Big turn around!
I was very lost in what to get for my sons 1st year and the ladies were very helpful and new exactly what I needed even went as far as to order things in that I needed
5* all the way

Visited the school shop today as my son is starting at a new school new to the area. Not only did the lady in the shop help us get the uniform but they sourced a pair of trousers from another branch and have taken my details to post them out to me to save me a trip back into town. By the time I got home I had received a call to say that the trousers were In the post from the other branch and that I should receive them but the end of the week.
A very tidy shop and 2 helpful lady's (both dark haired) the blonde lady that was working on a machine also acknowledged my presence In the store and wished me a good day even thought she hadn't dealt with my transaction.

Absolutely poor service. 3 years running I haven't received my son's school jumpers in time for the start of school, including when he started in reception, even though I have always ordered at least 8 weeks in advance, and paid a deposit. Staff are rude, and unhelpful. So disappointed with the service received year in, year out, and nothing is done to improve the service.

This place is absolutely useless. Year after year they refuse to order enough stock to meet demand. It wouldn't be impossible to predict figures based on the previous years figures. You may order uniform but yet again there will be plenty of children who return to school without for weeks because they have either messed up or it doesn't arrive on time. They are a complete joke but don't need to improve because they have no competition!

My school has changed it school uniform and the staff gave me the wrong ties they gave me blue and black which it should be blue and silver. They have not got there info wright.

Apparently in the winter when children need a school jumper to keep them warm, you are not able to order the correct size for them unless 6 people have placed an order..... Ridiculous kids don't always require the full uniform for the summer especially in secondary school and its still warm when they go back in September .. Sort it out

I can honestly say I've used the shop for years for my children's uniform and after concerns for the blazer I ordered I visited the alternative supplier they mentioned to me however I found him to be rude, unhelpful and found that the quality is not as good at the school wear centre. I for one will be returning to the school wear centre yearly to get my uniform I've never had an issue with the staff, they are busy and stock not been in store is not their fault.
on my last visit I witnessed the poor new manager getting shouted and screamed at for things beyond her control but she remained professional and calm. well done to her.

Staff rude and unhelpful customer service is diabolical ordered granddaughters uniform on 5th August got text on 18th to say order was ready needless to say I'm not collecting it as I have already got uniform called in at end of August to see if was in systems was down and staff well enough said steer Lear if you can waste of time

rubbish shop, ordered some things for my granddaughter starting school, ordered 23rd july, 1 item came, still waiting for the other one, these were for Wembrook school, found out that Tesco Coventry are stocking wembrook goods and a lot cheaper so will go there from now on

I have had a great service at the schoolwear centre by a young very helpful boy, he left school in july and was really helpful and showed me to where the uniform was for Thomas more and knew exactly what we needed. I asked his name, it is Jamie, he is a credit to the schoolwear centre and I hope his manager will praise him for excellent customer service at such a young age. once again thankyou schoolwear centre.

4 weeks ago we went into the shop and ordered some clothes for Canon Evans School.
Our daughter is starting this week. (5th sept 2014)
We had not heard anything from the shop so went in to store today (2nd Sept)
Only to be told that "they" messed up the ordering system so the clothes were not ordered!?
They did not appear sympathetic or apologetic and left us feeling furious and let down.
Its a shame they are the only local outlet to sell the school unifroms or we would take our business else where.
We have re-ordered the clothes and we are told it will be several more weeks until they are likely to arrive.
JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE !

Members of the staff at the School wear staff have just left school so what do the people commenting expect! they're not making the clothes, they're there to sell and get the rudest comments from members of the public! I went in for my daughters uniform and was served straight away with a polite attitude. How would any parent like if their child was being spoken to in the way some of you speak to them! it's disgusting in my opinion and many others agreed when I've spoke to them in store! cut them some slack! it's not their fault your childs uniform hasn't come into stock, they're there to sell it. That's all!

2 years running I've ordered my sons uniform from here and 2 years running it's arrived mid October, when I ordered in the 2nd week of July!! The system in the shop can't say when the stock will arrive, everyone says a different thing, I never get a text notifying me of my orders arrival and they never answer the phone. Some of the staff couldn't give a monkeys, whereas others seem genuinely happy to help, but they really don't do a good job of managing thier customers expectations. I will not be shopping here again.

This shop helpt me out big time after ordering all my kids school stuf from match kit fit after which I will never ever be using that shop again having had taken 300 pounds off me I rang up this shop to be told they have the uniform in I needed the day b4 my kids started school thank you

My experience of this shop is absolutely awful. I have been waiting on my son's school uniform for over 5 weeks now. Whenever I try to call the shop they don't answer, and you can't leave a message as the answerphone is full. I have been told on numerous occassions that the uniform will be in at the end of the next week, and every week I am chasing to see if it has arrived. My mother was told by the new Manager (as the old one has gone) that all the unform arrived on Friday 29th August and they were working through it, but when my mum went in today to collect the young girl said it hadn't come in. She went to have a look and came back with 2 polo shirts (so obviously it had come in) but no fleece. I was also told by the Manager that I would receive a text to say the uniform had arrived, but that never happened!
Problem is this shop has the monopoly on Bedworth and Nuneaton schools. I have looked at the group website and it seems they have gone into liquidation and have been taken over.
I have found that the shop are blaming the supplier and the school for not getting the orders in, but its very suspicious that the old Manager has now gone when this is all going on.
We need another shop in the area where we can purchase school uniform. This shop does not deserve the business.

I would be totally shocked to find that the recent good review was left by anyone but an employee or the manager!
If this shop had competition it would go out of business very quickly.
My wife and I asked a simple question "do you have this in any other sizes?" The girl replied "I don't know" and asked someone else, they didn't know. Neither of them had the common sense or courtesy to go and look!

I ordered a t shirt 3/4 weeks ago which I have paid for and didn't get an option cashier just added it in to my bill I have not received my order yet and dnt know when I will, when I visited the store orders was scattered everywhere staff had no idea what they was doing, if I didn't have to go to this store I wouldn't as it's a joke most of the people that ate using it have got problems with this store, I can only say this needs investigating and some sort of system setting up to process orders etc , I will prob boycott this shop and tell the school why next year

Only gave 1 star as I couldn't give none! Went in at beginning of the summer holidays so I was all prepared and ordered a cardigan and pe top as they had none left now they go back in 2 days I still haven't received a text telling me my order is there and when I try calling the store nobody answers the phone! Something really needs to be done about this…

Unhelpful staff with no idea what stock they have in and no inclination to help customers in any way. In a word, awful. Unfortunately it's the only place that stocks the uniform for my child's school.
